Eiichiro Komatsu is a director at the Max-Planck-Institute for Astrophysics (since August 2012). He obtained his doctoral degree from Tohoku University in Japan in 2001. After doing a postdoc at Princeton University, he joined the University of Texas at Austin as a faculty member in 2003. He is interested in and works on all aspects of physical cosmology.

Cosmic microwave background (CMB) and the large-scale structure (LSS) of the universe
Analysis and interpretation of the LSS data from the HETDEX and PFS surveys
Simulations of the future CMB data from CCAT-prime and LiteBIRD projects
